hey people, i'm looking for a roommate :D i found an amazing 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment on the beachfront of alameda for 800 each a month. i just need a roommate.

Laura wants us all to go get Ramen tonight.

The A, the Wolf and i have been perusing the listings of soon-to-be-vacated homes with the unlikely (unlike us) intent of acquiring a little piece of Salt Lake City we can call our own. i swore before i had not the slightest interest in such a major purchase (puts a bit of a cramp on me gear budget), but my condo curiosity got the better of me/us.

i love looking at my clients' condos downtown. They're ridiculously over-priced and often poorly thought-out from a design standpoint, still i have always held a strange professional curiosity to tour them whenever a new project comes on the market. We were in one such property a little over a week ago when, sitting on the nicely carpeted floor of the master suite with the Wolfman between us, we both simultaneously had the realization that Wolfie will be crawling soon and wouldn't it be nice to have everything on one level with more baby-safe floors?. We LOVE our place! But all those damn steep stairs and ratty old splinter-inducing floors are not conducive to safe baby travel. What to do?

We started looking at houses to rent and found some very nice places for close to what we are paying now. Then i realized we could acquire a damn mortgage for the same amount (sometimes less) and have the freedom to punch and paint walls to our hearts desires. We found a place we both love - an old Victorian built in 1900, completely restored/updated and emanating a fantastically welcoming energy.

Can we actually do this? We don't know, but it feels good.

This was the only time the entire night that I felt short, because for the most part I am taller than everyone in San Diego. THANKS MEXICO!



This was, without a doubt, the best costume I saw all night. And I saw a LOT of costumes, but this outfit is fucking spot on which; is impressive.



I might not be Godzilla, but I will still battle Japan!



Despite being very friendly, I was still informed that all Predators go to hell.



Even God doesn't know who would win this battle.

Last but not least, Predator always takes time to make sure that even nice old Asian ladies get some face time with the Predator.



So here you have it, another successful picture post. There were about a billion more pictures, I tried to weed them out and only post the best of the best even though that is still a lot of pictures. In other news, I am hoping to actually go as Shredder next year since I have been wanting to go as that for two or three years now. Maybe I'll start working on that costume soon.

had a good night last night and then today ended up pretty good..

saw "someone" for a bit.. not as long as i'd hoped but had a nice phone call after (well, as nice as possible while standing on a sidewalk on dundas trying to hear someone)..

then today.. got a call from Sykes for a potential job.. and from WIL to set up an appointment with them to help finding me a job... Works out since if the Sykes thing falls through, my appointment is the day after training would start..

heading out to DJ tonight.. had a blast DJ'ing jaclyn and jason's going away/wedding reception-ish party.. things were pretty messed up with the original bar being doubled booked and such but we got things sorted out, made our way down to the wreck'd room where Steve split the night with us and much fun was had by all..

halloween was kind of nuts.. i really over-indulged in gin that night.. and paid for it the next day... but.. such is life..

dj'ing again tonight at the wreck'd room.. (the entire point of his entry was going to be a note to self that i've sorted down to Flesh field taking out the songs i can't hear myself ever playing) i really should have looked at the amount i had in this library.. i've whittled it down to 5.1 days of music so far.. still quite a ways to go..)

so in summation.. some things are good.. some things are bad.. some things are confusion.. everything is as it should be.

So you're in the middle of the woods, waiting for some Mexys to come North. You're standing on a trail in the thick of night. Ahead of you are literally thousands of plastic bottles and other various garbage debris spreading across a 15 foot span and stretching 100s of feeet. Its foggy, and the whole situation feels like a zombie movie gone worse.

Because of the fogs condensation, the bottles creak and crack and you get the feeling that there is movement all around you. But you wait, and listen, and try to distinguish between feet breaking twigs and fog popping plastic.

On the radio, your friend asks if you're breaking brush. But no, you're just hunkered down waiting. He says he hears movement so you break from your position and start running East trying to pin the bodies in between him and you. There are thin trees and brush that you just plow through, closing the gap and...

This is why I think this story is awesome.

And, when you break through the brush you almost trip over a rock.

But then the rock moans.

And you realize you just kicked a human body that was trying to hide.

My job is awesome for numerous reasons. That is one of them.

Finished the back yard in putting down visquene, clearing weeds and those pesky grape hyacinths. This should kill everything and leave us a blank canvas to create something fun maybe a patio next year. You can see where I ran out of bark mulch and had the brilliant idea to yoink neighbor's leaf bags, heh heh. I love how warm it's been. Now I have time to get all these things done before it gets too cold.
